Mayo practitioner Aine Higgins named ‘Optometrist of the Year’ in prestigious UK and Irish Optician Awards

In a first for Mayo and for Ireland, Castlebar & Ballinrobe based optician Aine Higgins has won the coveted title of “Optician of the Year 2010”. Aine, who owns and runs Mongey Opticians alongside her partner Damien Brehony beat off stiff competition from all over the UK & Ireland.
The Optician Awards celebrate excellence in practice and recognise opticians who provide a holistic approach to clinical excellence, quality patient care as well as business innovation.

Mongey Opticians Nominated for 2010 Optician Awards

Mongey Opticians have been nominated for the second year running in four categories of the upcoming esteemed Optician Awards 2010.

Nominated for the award as a result of testimonials from patients, industry and colleagues, Mongey Opticians fought off fierce competition from the UK and Ireland to make it through to the final judging stages, each category has 5 finalists from the whole of the UK and Ireland and Mongey Opticians are the the only irish entry.
The awards, which take place in the Hilton on Park Lane in London in April, recognise Opticians who are paving the way in providing a holistic approach to clinical excellence, quality patient care and business innovation.
